Why I chose to work with children?

The story of my old friend Marie D. inspired me to write this song about people with cancer. It was her wish before she died. Sadly, she is no longer here to hear it. I wrote this song, "Live Life Even with Cancer," as a therapy to help those children and families through these difficult times and give them the comfort, strength, and courage they need.

I myself have suffered from asthma since childhood. As I grew older, my asthma worsened. I spent years going from hospital to hospital looking for cures, trying different medications and inhalers. I reached a point where nothing worked, and I felt there was no hope of survival. One day, I asked God to end my suffering. I knelt before God. As I prayed and confessed to God, He heard my cries, showed me His grace, and healed me. Since that day, I have been cured of my asthma and have never resorted to medication again. Every day, I am grateful to God for everything He has done for me, yesterday, today, and forever. Today, I am here with this song to show that God can make the impossible possible.

When I was younger, I broke my right ankle. One day, I was playing soccer with one of my younger brothers. Suddenly, I slipped on the ball and fell. It happened so fast that I can't even explain how it happened. I fractured my ankle and couldn't walk. I thought it was simple, but it wasn't. My family took me to the emergency room, and the doctor told me I needed surgery. After the surgery, I was in a lot of pain. I couldn't sleep at night, and no medication helped; only my mother's prayers helped me fall asleep. I remember the day of my follow-up visit to the doctor. He told me that if I didn't try to walk I would never be able to walk again and would end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Humanly speaking, I know that doctors are doing their part, but I have always known that the final word comes from God. I told him, "It's what you say, not what my God says." After my declaration, I started walking again and even returned to work without crutches or therapy. All of this is possible because of my prayers and my faith in God.

Every day that I wake up is a testimony in itself—a reminder that I am alive by God’s grace. The very breath in my lungs and the strength to face each new day are blessings I will never take for granted. In every step of my journey, God has been present—guiding, sustaining, and never once abandoning me.

I’ve come to understand that everything in life happens for a reason. Even in the darkest moments, when all hope seems lost, God allows trials not to break us, but to create space for His miracles to unfold. Time and again, He has shown up in my life, working wonders where I saw no way forward.

I am living proof that God is faithful. He has done so many incredible things for me—things I could never have imagined—and I know with all my heart that He can do the same for others. His love, power, and purpose are for everyone who seeks Him.
